First Library Card at Age 82!

When Helen Jonczak was a young girl she was not allowed to go to the library, because her parents were afraid she might lose a book. As an adult, she only came into the library to pick up her daughter's books, and would always say she just couldn't understand why her daughter read so much.

About a month ago, Mrs. Jonczak picked up her first book and three books later decided it was time to get a library card. Her daughter, Denise Mariner, brought her to the Kent Island Branch Library and at age 82 she now has her own card.

If you would like to register for a library card, bring ID showing your current address to the closest branch. It takes less than five minutes and it's free!
