Charleston Illumination Project
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
Thursday, August 18, 9:00am
Late in 2015, the City of Charleston began a project to further strengthen relationships between Charleston citizens and police by respecting the importance of Public Safety and Individual Rights. The Charleston Illumination Project held dozens of small-group Listening Sessions throughout the City of Charleston. Over 650 people participated, representing the wide diversity of Charleston's citizens. These sessions revealed the hopes and concerns of the community's and produced actions plans to build open and long-lasting relationships between the police and the citizens they serve. In addition, the Illumination Project hosts monthly prayer gatherings for the community as we seek God's blessing upon our work to bring healing and hope to our community. The next prayer gathering for the Illumination Project will be August 18 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian at 9:00 am. Everyone from the community is encouraged to attend!
All Are Welcome!
