One Great Hour of Sharing: on to Mexico...

We hope you were able to join us as we commemorated Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, then celebrated the Resurrection on Easter Sunday. It was a meaningful, glorious time at James Island!

This Sunday, we will celebrate Communion and we will kick off a new session of Inquirers' Classes. See the schedule and links below.

We are also preparing for our annual WNL dinner to celebrate ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING - our annual spring Mission project. You may recall we alternate a major Habitat for Humanity project with a trip to Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. This year, we hope to send at mission team of at least 17 members down to Merida to work with our partners there is building and supporting churches. Our partnerships are with Corpus Cristi, Adonai, and Monte Horeb Presbyterian Churches. Our mission team, a combination of older teenagers & adults, will help with church construction needs and teach vacation Bible school, among other projects. They also will be immersed in a different culture and lifestyle, helping to lay and/or cement the foundation for lives in service to God and His people.

Join us on Wednesday, April 6, at 6pm, to learn more about One Great Hour, this year's mission project, and our team. You can also enjoy Chef Sue's special Yucatan-inspired dinner!

Drivers Needed!

We need volunteers to take 2-3 shifts a month with Meals on Wheels. A shift involves approximately one hour, midday, and there are several options available.
Sky Keating coordinates this group of volunteers, some of whom work every week and some of whom work 2-3 each month. Volunteers pick up the meals from our church and deliver them to certain households on James Island. We've had several drivers who've needed to retire or take leave from their shifts, so we have an urgent need NOW.
Please contact Sky (843-870-6914 or at [email protected]) or Henry Meeuwse (843-795-3111, [email protected]) if you are able to help on a regular or substitute basis.
