Meetings, meetings, everywhere?
We're working to consolidate...

Join us for our first "Congregational Ministries" meeting this Sunday! We have many ministries at JIPC that work to help us grow individually as disciples and to follow Christ together as a church family. In an effort to help these ministries work together, we will host our first Congregational Ministries meeting on September 20th from 12:15-2:00 p.m. After a short lunch, there will be two sessions:

  •          Session One will be for the various types of ministry to meet: Sunday School Teachers, Fellowship Committee, Nursery Staff, Parents and Volunteers, Choir Leaders, PYC Leaders, Bible Study Leaders, etc. This can replace a regular scheduled meeting.

  •          Session Two will regroup and everyone will be divided by ministry participants into one of four groups: Preschool Ministry, Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry and Ministry to Adults.

This way, we can try to coordinate our ministry to the various segments of the congregation and still have time to discuss issues that uniquely affect each ministry. If you are a ministry leader who works with children, youth or adults OR if you are interested in learning more about the ministries of JIPC, we hope you will attend! Contact the church office to sign up - 795-3111.

More Opportunities to Choose Love

  • ADVENT DEVOTIONAL ENTRIES...How have you experienced the Hope, Peace, Joy or Love of God?  Each year, members of our congregation give a great gift to one another: our Advent Devotional! This year, our daily devotional will contain stories from our members that center around the four themes of each week in Advent: hope, peace, joy and love. Please consider giving this gift to your church family by sharing a story of 400 words or less that can be included in our devotional around one of these themes. You can also include a Scripture reference and a prayer if you would like. In addition to our written devotionals, we welcome black and white artwork to complete the project. Please send your submission to Angela Dwiggins in the church office by November 1st.

  • HELP US HELP ALL OUR CHURCH FAMILY GET TO WORSHIP...Would you like to help an elderly member attend worship and Sunday School? We are looking for someone who would be willing to provide transportation to and from JIPC on Sunday mornings. This could be arranged using your personal vehicle or a church bus. Please contact Cameron Smith if you are interested in starting this meaningful ministry.
