James Island Presbyterian Church
January 30, 2015
Greetings!

Thank you to all who attended and participated in last week's Annual Meeting. Click here for a copy of our 2014 Annual Report.

One of the things we reported last week was that both of the sanctuary HVAC systems must be replaced. The anticipated cost is approximately $33,000 and at that time, session members had personally pledged $3,500 toward this expense. This week, generous members (lay and leadership) have pledged an additional $12,000. We thank you all very much.

This Sunday, we will celebrate the Lord's Supper during worship services. Colin Kerr will be our guest preacher, and you will have an opportunity to participate in this year's Souper Bowl offering. The proceeds of this offering will benefit the James Island Outreach Foodbank. Click here to see Sunday's bulletin.

flower-basket-bamboo.jpg We thank Debby Hodges for last week's Flower Guild Workshop, and we are glad to report that we have four Flower Teams to prepare our Sunday arrangements. They work on a rotating basis, so each team is committed only once every four weeks. If you'd like to get in on the flower fun, contact Debby here or just check in at the flower room on Saturday mornings.

Next Sunday, we will have a Congregational Luncheon! This will be immediately following the 11:00am worship service and is a traditional covered dish luncheon. Hope to see you there!

Preaching schedule for February:
Feb 1    Colin Kerr
Feb 8    Cameron Smith
Feb 15  Stephen Cooper
