Happy September! I hope everyone had a fantastic (and leisurely!) Labor Day.
It seems like there have been many issues with stolen personal information on the Internet this year. That's why I can't stress enough how important it is to be smart about your passwords, especially after the Heartbleed incident earlier this year and the Russian hacker security breach in August. In Excellware-related news, this time we have a series of 4 videos for you to watch to help you with Customer Maintenance in Dynamo. We also have new label options available, and we've made it easier for you to order checks from us.

Hackers Steal 1.2 Billion Usernames and Passwords
Change your passwords now and regularly
In August, Russian hackers stole 1.2 billion usernames and passwords, including 500 million email addresses. They didn't have a particular target; large websites, small websites, companies, and households were all affected. So, it is safest to assume that you should change all of the passwords you use online as soon as possible.
Here are some tips for changing and maintaining passwords:
- update passwords on a regular schedule
- change your password every time a website prompts you to do so
- use different passwords for every website
- do not use the same password for banking websites as you do on social networking sites
- combine letters, numbers, and special characters
- do not use simple passwords like 123456 or qwerty
- use a mnemonic password; for example, remember the sentence "I started using Dynamo on August 11 and will forever" to make the password "isudAug.11&w4e" as it is complicated and combines many types of characters
