Sidewalk Assessment Survey

Please see the note below from Alice Grossman:

Hi,

I am a graduate student researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Our research team is currently developing a system to inventory and assess the quality of sidewalks in the Atlanta region. Georgia Tech researchers have developed an Android tablet application that is being used to collect field data on sidewalks in the City of Atlanta, which we will be using to establish a ratings system for sidewalk quality.

To validate the results we are getting in the field with accessibility requirements, guidelines, and experiences, our team has developed a sidewalk survey for persons in the disability community.  These survey results will be vital in determining the sidewalk quality ratings to inform pedestrian planning, and prioritize future investments in pedestrian infrastructure.  The survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes and you can take it multiple times because there are many sidewalks to see and review.

If you are interested in participating in the survey, please visit  http://transposurvey.ce.gatech.edu/webSurvey/login/loginUDL.php?surveyCode=SD850AG634AF325RG846  to create your own login.  You may retake the Sidewalk Assessment Survey up to 13 times with new sidewalk segments.

If you have any questions related to the sidewalk survey, please contact our team at sidewalks@ce.gatech.edu. Feel free to share the survey link with other interested groups or individuals.

Thanks,
