MUNI update from Independent Living Resource Center San Francisco
June 2, 2014
We are forwarding this report from MUNI for your information

We are still encountering significant service delays on all of our Muni lines.  We expect these delays to continue into tomorrow and perhaps to last for the remainder of the week.  We are encourage you to make use of any transportation alternatives you may have.

If you must use Muni, please be aware that you will experience significantly longer than usual wait times and very crowded conditions.  Allow extra time for any trips you take.  Vehicles will be crowded and it should be expected that passengers may be passed up by overcrowded bus/rail vehicles.

Read Below for important information on Service Changes.

L Taraval and M Ocean View Passengers:

Accessible Transit on the M Ocean View and L Taraval during this service reduction:

Only the K Ingleside will provide service to Embarcadero Station.  The L Taraval and M Ocean View will not enter the subway.

To get to and from downtown on the L Taraval and M Ocean View Lines, all accessible transfers must be made at St. Francis Circle.

The surface portions of the  L Taraval and M Ocean View will be connected so passengers can reach St. Francis Circle to transfer to/from either the L, M or K lines.

The K Ingleside will be the only line serving the accessible stops from St. Francis Circle to Embarcadero

L Line Passengers:

Headed toward the SF Zoo: Transfer to an Inbound M Ocean View at St. Francis Circle.  It will turn into a L Taraval, and serve the accessible stops on the L, between 22nd Ave and the end of the line at  the SF Zoo.

Headed Toward West Portal to go Downtown:  The L Taraval will pass West Portal and become an M Ocean View.   Transfer to an Inbound K Ingleside at St. Francis Circle (the next accessible stop).

M Line Passengers:

Make all Transfers at St. Francis Circle

Bus and Rail Passengers -- There are other service changes in effect.
