Twofold benefits from the Piccabeen Bookshop

Do you know that as well as offering a great array of quality second-hand books, our bookshop profits enable us to buy trees and extend our work of regenerating rainforests on the mountain?

Do drop in to chat with the volunteers, find information about our Landcare  work and browse the hundreds of donated books while you're there.

Gift vouchers are available too.

The Piccabeen Bookshop is maintained entirely by volunteers and all income is returned to TM Landcare's projects.

On Monday 14th April at 8:30 a.m. three experts will conduct a survey at the three Landcare regeneration sites on Contour Road. Mike Russell will lead the team, Glenn Leiper will survey the plants and Doug White the animal species on site.

Interested Landcare members are welcome to join in.  No expertise is required but if you want to learn the names and habits of some plants or animals bring a note book and a camera.

The team will meet at the regeneration site on Contour Rd near the junction Long Rd - or join us later at the Kinabalu Prospect or Areca Gully sites along Contour Rd.

This is a wonderful chance to learn about the biodiversity that results from our Landcare regeneration work.
