Great spring reading - and more - at the Piccabeen Bookshop

Our bookshop always has a great range of quality second-hand books at low cost, and given the quck turnover you're sure to find a book you're keen to read!

We're also branching out into selling quality second-hand CDs and DVDs - so if you've got any that are simply taking up space - we'd be very happy to take them off your hands.

While you're at it, do drop in to chat with the volunteers, find information about our Landcare  work and browse the hundreds of donated books while you're there.

Gift vouchers are available too.

The Piccabeen Bookshop is maintained entirely by volunteers and all income is returned to TM Landcare's projects.

Our Landcare volunteers will be planting trees at the Tamborine Mountain State High School on 20th October. The site, adjoining Cedar Creek, has been under regeneration for some years. Now, with funding from the Kelloggs Be Natural scheme, we're able to plant hundreds more trees.

It will be a very friendly, hands-on occasion that will make a positive difference to our natural rainforest environment, providing habitat for its creatures and enhancing the water quality of the creek. Bring the children or grandchildren - or just yourself!

When: Saturday 20th October, from 8.30 a.m.
Where: follow the pink ribbons from the southern entrance to the school (first on the right before the turn-around)
Wear: hat, sunscreen, enclosed shoes
Bring: water bottle, perhaps a spade

Morning tea and an early sausage sizzle will be provided.

All Landcare and community members are very welcome.

Treasurer:  Tony Hall

Management Committee Members:

Judith Roland (Regeneration Coordinator)

Rebecca has since resigned from the committee, due to pressure of work and family commitments. We're very grateful to Rebecca for the valuable work she's done for Landcare during her time as committee member and Vice President - as project manager for the Jemena funded development of Youngman Family Park, as GIS mapping expert, as visionary and enthusiast. We know that Rebecca will continue to support our Landcare work from the sidelines, and we wish her well in her career.

Sincerely,
