Our Landcare volunteers will be planting trees at the Tamborine Mountain State High School on 20th October. The site, adjoining Cedar Creek, has been under regeneration for some years. Now, with funding from the Kelloggs Be Natural scheme, we're able to plant hundreds more trees.
It will be a very friendly, hands-on occasion that will make a positive difference to our natural rainforest environment, providing habitat for its creatures and enhancing the water quality of the creek. Bring the children or grandchildren - or just yourself!
When: Saturday 20th October, from 8.30 a.m.
Where: follow the pink ribbons from the southern entrance to the school (first on the right before the turn-around)
Wear: hat, sunscreen, enclosed shoes
Bring: water bottle, perhaps a spade
Morning tea and an early sausage sizzle will be provided.
All Landcare and community members are very welcome.
