Our New Event Calendar:
Add, Like and Share
 
 we have upgraded our event calendar with the Detroit-based interactive UpTo app to provide you with the ability to get information quickly and at your fingertips.
Now, you may add the Legal Aid and Defender events that you plan to attend directly on your own calendar, including on your mobile device. You may share LAD events on your social media accounts. And, you may "like" and comment on any of our upcoming events.

 

Simply go to our calendar to browse the upcoming events. Click an event to bring up the details, including a location map, and add to your calendar, share and like.

 

This new web feature is part of our expanding effort to provide broad-based advocacy to residents of Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties.

 

Small Claims Workshop in Dearborn on February 12

 

 

Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. (LAD) will conduct a free workshop for residents of Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties on how to represent themselves in small claims court and collect money judgments. Registration is not required, but seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

LAD conducted a free family law workshop February 4 at Royal Oak Public Library. Librarian Mary Ann DeKane (right) hosted the event, while pro bono attorney Mona Jabr (left) attended as an observer.
