Monday, March 4th is a test day!
Seniors- delayed start and begin 5th period at normal time
ELA TAKS Exit Retakes
Juniors- report to new building by 8:30, see postings for room number
Sophomores- English teachers delivered a purple slip to 10th graders.  Follow the directions on the purple slip.  The purple slip is your evidence for either approved delayed start or required attendance for EOC support.  Those required to attend report to the room number in the old building listed on your purple slip.
  
  

 

 

Spring Test Schedule Class of 2015
 
Class of 2015- sophomores will take 5 tests this spring (not counting EOC Retakes for those that have not met Level II).  Students must pass with a Level II score on STAAR-EOC exams for their corresponding math, science, English (Reading and Writing) and Social Studies exams in order to graduate.

(students will be selected to participate in EOC Support based on EOC/Benchmark data, students were given a purple slip for either approved delayed start or required attendance)

Counselor's Corner
  • Deadline for registering with Midland College Dual Credit Courses is June 20 (math placement test required for DC math courses).
  • The Counseling Center will be open until 7:00 PM to meet with parents by appointment regarding registration on the following dates: March 4th, April 1st and May 6th. Please call Ashley Crawford at 689-1103 to set up and appointment.

ATTENTION SENIORS: for extra graduation tickets you must submit a TYPED LETTER (email not accepted) to Mr. Horner's office requesting extra graduation tickets. All graduates will receive 8 tickets. Additional tickets must be requested in writing. Include student name, ID. number and parent contact information.

Baccalaureate will be held at 3:00 p.m. on May 19, 2013, in the MSHS auditorium. Seniors will meet at 2:30 p.m. and form lines immediately on the patio/orange hall for the entrance march.

May 20, 2013 -Senior Assembly

Seniors will receive graduation information and handouts. Handouts will be posted here.

Mandatory Commencement Practice at Chap. Center
GRADUATION PRACTICE
1. 1:00 pm at the Midland College Chaparral Center.
2. Attendance is mandatory. Practice will count as one day of attendance.
3. At practice students will receive instructions concerning the processional, the awarding of diplomas, and the recessional. Also during practice, students will assist with the correct pronunciation of names.
4. Practice will take approximately 2.5 hours.
5. Students will receive 8 tickets at the end of practice.
