POSITION INFORMATION
The Director, Corporate Security and Safety is responsible for directing and  coordinating corporate security and safety standards to ensure robust safeguards  are in place for company assets, employees, and facilities.
The Director, Corporate Security and Safety will report to the VP Safety,  they will partner with the safety leadership team and division leadership teams  to actively support the execution of security and safety standards for assets,  facilities, and equipment.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 
Develop, implement and monitor corporate security standards to ensure  adequate protections of company facilities and employees. 
- 
Lead and supervise the Manager Corporate Security and contract physical  security personnel. 
- 
Actively monitor and provide briefings on security threats and geopolitical  issues across Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air network. 
- 
Develop, implement, and maintain Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air workplace  violence program including notification process. 
- 
Develop preventative security programs, including security equipment and  training. 
- 
Develop, implement and monitor corporate safety standards for company  facilities and equipment. 
- 
Partner with Operational Safety Directors to ensure adequate support and  execution of equipment and facility safety standards. 
- 
Oversee Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air corporate liaison to law  enforcement. 
- 
Develop, implement, and manage a multi-location life/fire/safety program and  lead the emergency evacuation program system. 
- 
Lead department's role in any critical incident response and emergency  evacuation management and response drills. 
- 
Manages security internal investigations. Provides assistance investigating  safety employee safety reports, employee injuries, and OSHA concerns that affect  facility and equipment issues. 
- 
Maintain enterprise-wide policies for facility security and safety standards.  Create and deploy security and safety awareness throughout the  organization. 
- 
Monitor, maintain and/or implement emerging security and safety  technologies. 
- 
Ensures, arranges, and oversees executive protection programs. 
- 
Ensures robust security protocols are in place for Alaska Airlines and  Horizon Air public and private events. 
QUALIFICATIONS
- 
Bachelor degree required. Masters degree preferred. 
- 
Minimum five (5) years' experience developing, implementing, and managing  corporate, campus-like security and safety programs required 
- 
Previous experience working with and applying state and federal OSHA  regulations. 
- 
Previous experience with establishing and managing enterprise-wide facility,  and equipment safety standards required. 
- 
Previous airline/aviation industry experience preferred. 
- 
Experience applying risk management techniques and methodologies  preferred. 
- 
Outstanding oral and written communications skills and presentation skills  required. 
- 
Strong interpersonal skills and an outstanding ability to communicate to  senior executives and large groups of front line employees. 
- 
Must be an energetic, efficient, and resourceful team player and individual  contributor. 
- 
High school diploma or equivalent required 
- 
Minimum age of 18 required 
- 
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. .
