Sonnesyn and RSI Spanish Reading Exchange
Fifth grade students from Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion read Spanish books to kindergarten, first and second grade students at Sonnesyn Elementary last week. Sonnesyn and district staff want students who speak Spanish at home to feel encouraged to read and write Spanish during the school day. The new partnership with RSI is the beginning of future opportunities for native Spanish speakers in the district to learn Spanish from their peers at RSI. Students also built fortune tellers to improve writing in Spanish.
Zachary Lane Celebrates Student Talents with Cape Assembly

Students celebrated their unique talents by creating capes and wore them to an assembly about being an "Action Hero." 3 Screens Academic Entertainment educated students about how to be a hero in elementary school. Students learned that everyone can make a difference, no matter how small it may seem. Here's to our leaders of today and tomorrow!
