Wednesday, Oct. 9 is Unity Day and many schools will wear orange and sign PEACE posters, pledging to not bully other students. Also, CLIMB Theatre will give presentations to several schools in the district during October. Be sure to watch our Facebook Page for photos of students making the pledge.

MMR Results
Last week, the Minnesota Department of Education released the 2013 Multiple Measurement Rating (MMR) scores which showed significant academic growth and narrowing of the achievement gap for many Robbinsdale Area Schools. MMR analyzes academic performance in four categories: proficiency, growth, progress in closing achievement gaps and graduation rate.
We have taken deliberate and specific measures this past year to improve our academic outcomes and our staff is encouraged and proud of the growth that our students have achieved. Specifically, nearly all of our schools saw growth, including Forest, Lakeview, Meadow Lake, Neill, Noble, Zachary Lane, Plymouth Middle School, Robbinsdale Middle School, Armstrong and Cooper.
Several schools saw improvement in closing the achievement gap, including Forest, Lakeview, Meadow Lake, Neill, Noble, Northport, Zachary Lane, Plymouth Middle School, Robbinsdale Middle School, Armstrong, and Cooper. Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion, the School of Engineering and Arts and Zachary Lane obtained full proficiency. Sonnesyn's MMR score held steady.
These improvements are a direct result of those who work every day in our schools and families that help our students when they leave the classroom. We are all making a positive difference towards our goal of every student graduating career and college ready. Click here to read more.
