Robbinsdale Area Schools Receives Prestigious Financial Reporting Award
 
Robbinsdale Area Schools has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending in June 2012.  This award was given to Robbinsdale Area Schools for having met or exceeded the program's high standards for financial reporting and accountability, and represents the district's commitment to such high standards of school system financial management and results. Robins Adapted Sports Celebrates 30th Anniversary

 

The 2013-2014 school year marks the 30th anniversary of the Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound-St. Louis Park Adapted Athletics.  Join the team at Armstrong High School on Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m. for a soccer game against Park Center High School. This game will kick off of the 30th Anniversary celebration. To learn more about the Robins, click here.

RSI Celebrates its Summer Readers

"Viva los lectores" means "long live the readers" in Spanish. RSI celebrated students who read during the summer with a party and sweet treats. RSI Teacher Librarian Sally Mays organized the summer reading program and celebration and said that over 100 students attended the celebration for reading achievement. "Over the summer the sweetness of reading is the absolutely best way to keep our students brains sharp," Sally said. Neill Collects Shoes to 'Shoe Away Hunger'

Neill Elementary's Adventure Club collected used shoes to be donated to underprivileged children and adults for the Good in the Hood organization. For each pound of shoes collected, $.50 was donated to help feed the hungry. Neill students helped donate more than 200 pairs of shoes. 

 

 

SEA International Visitors

The School of Engineering and Arts (SEA) had special visitors yesterday. They hosted scientists and engineers from Argentina, Bhutan, Bosnia, Italy and many other countries from around the world. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture recommended SEA as the school the international leaders visit while in Minneapolis.

Armstrong, Cooper Music Groups Featured on Minnesota Public Radio - TONIGHT

Listen to Minnesota Public Radio at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1 to hear several district music groups. Armstrong and Cooper's Women's Choir and Chamber Orchestras  performed at the Minnesota Music Educators Association Conference last February and their performance will be featured tonight! 

 

Armstrong Orchestras to Play with Gustavus Orchestra

On Friday, Oct. 4 the Armstrong Orchestras will combine with the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra for a 7:30 p.m. concert in the Armstrong Auditorium. The Armstrong Freshman, Philharmonic, and Symphony Orchestras will each perform separately, followed by the Gustavus Symphony. This concert is free and open to the public.  

 

RAS Cooks Spaghetti Dinner

The Robbinsdale Area Schools Cooks' Spaghetti Dinner will be on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 4:30 - 7 p.m. at Robbinsdale Middle School,  3730 Toledo Ave N. The cost for adults is $6, children 6-12 years is $3 and children 5 and under are free. Tickets are available at the door.
