Join AJFCA for the 2016 Annual Conference at the
Westin San Diego this May
The 2016 AJFCA Annual Conference is a two and a half day interactive and informative experience for professional and lay leaders from AJFCA Jewish human service agencies and partner organizations throughout North America. Agency leaders share their common experiences in leading Jewish family service agencies in their communities and learn together interesting and innovative ideas from the field.
Interactive sessions will include the following areas of focus:
- Executive Leadership : Proactive Program Planning, Talent Development, Reflections on Being Jewish Agencies and Serving Broadly, Identifying & Cultivating Lay Leaders and an opportunity to visit the new JFS San Diego workplace
- Agency Services: Food Program Models, Music & Memory Program, Senior Hoarding, Multi-Agency Collaborations, LGBTQ Programming and Holocaust Survivor Services
- Fund Development & Marketing: Unique Forms of Giving/Revenue Streams, Donor Cultivation, Grant Strategy, Marketing, Foundation Perspectives and Reframing Human Services
- Board Leadership: Program Impact & Sustainability, Cultivating & Engaging Board Members, Soliciting Donors, Succession Planning and Top Issues Facing Board Leaders Networking Session
- Volunteer/Young Adult Engagement: Attracting Baby Boomer & Volunteer Talent, Connecting with Next Gen Leaders, Jewish Values & Volunteer Services
Basic Tentative Schedule
Saturday, May 14th - Havdallah & Dessert Reception (9p) Sunday, May 15th - programming, plenary lunch, host community event Monday, May 16th - plenary breakfast, programming, small group lunches
Tuesday, May 17th - programming, closing plenary (ends at noon), CEO Council
