Dear Network Professionals,
As a valued colleague and key member of the Jewish service community, I hope you will consider joining me as a participant in Repair the World's 2nd annual Jewish Community Delegation at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service (NCVS), taking place June 16-18, 2014 in Atlanta.
As you may recall, Repair the World convened the first-ever NCVS Jewish Community Delegation in 2013. I was proud to be an inaugural Delegation participant, and even though I had previously attended NCVS, I felt that I got much more out of the conference by attending with the Delegation. I had someone to attend sessions with, dine with and even share a room with to keep costs down. Within this cohort of 50 Jewish service leaders, we were able to learn with and from the nation's top service leaders over four days, while at the same time illuminating and celebrating our Jewish community's contributions to a repaired world.
This year, Jewish Community Delegation participants will receive:
- Discounted conference registration rate of $350 (regular rate is $750)
- Eligibility toward a travel stipend of up to $400, courtesy of Repair the World (see link to instructions below)
- Admission to an exclusive Jewish Community Delegation evening program on Monday, June 16th
- Invitation to help us test a conference "gathering" app, just for use by the Delegation members
To register, visit volunteeringandservice.org and follow these instructions.
I am eager to return to NCVS this June to showcase more of the service programs and opportunities in our community that have been working to address many pressing societal needs. In turn, we can seize this opportunity to catalyze collaboration and innovation between and among Jewish and secular service practitioners, funders and leaders. I know we can all learn a lot from each other and have much to share.
We'd love to see representation from all corners of the Jewish service community - I encourage you to share this invitation with your network. For additional information about the Delegation, feel free to contact my colleague at Repair the World, Jamie Zinn, (jamie.zinn@weRepair.org or 646.695.2700 x16).
If you do decide to join us at the NCVS - please email me to let me know so that I can plan to connect with you prior and make sure all of your questions get answered.
All the best,
Jennie

About the Conference on Volunteering and Service Every year, nearly five thousand leaders from the service and volunteering community in America come together at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service (NCVS), the world's largest annual convening on volunteer service. NCVS provides an opportunity for members of the national service movement to present their work, build connections and be inspired around the impact of volunteerism in communities across the United States.
