volunteer newsletter banner

We are thrilled to once again present to you a wonderful opportunity to elevate the role and impact of volunteering at your agency and increase the engagement of young adults (people in their 20s & 30s) within the work of your agency.

At the 2014 AJFCA Annual Conference in Montreal, May 4-6, AJFCA will again sponsor a cohort under the AJFCA/Repair the World Volunteer Initiative.

This third cohort of volunteer managers from AJFCA member agencies will gather at the conference to participate in interactive sessions relating to volunteerism. The sessions will include topics such as engaging Millennial volunteers and introducing Jewish service learning components to your work, and will feature speakers from member agencies as well as experts from Repair the World. The cohort will also attend the Volunteer Professionals Networking Luncheon, free of cost. Before the close of the conference, members of this cohort will join together to strategize on how they might mobilize their newly-formed network to better engage with one another once they return home.  Leading up to and following the conference, the cohort will receive ongoing support from AJFCA Director of Volunteer Strategy & Repair the World Programming.

Members of the 2014 conference volunteer cohort will receive free conference registration (plus lunch Sunday) and 3 nights hotel accommodation, double occupancy.
