Earlier this year, the AJFCA Board of Directors voted to expand the parameters of AJFCA membership with the goals of:
- Broadening the reach of our network;
- Increasing the strength of our collaborative; and
- Creating more learning opportunities for member agencies, including professional development in certain specialty fields.
 The Board determined that AJFCA will open membership to all national, regional and local Jewish agencies located in North America that provide direct human services to vulnerable populations. This expansion targets Jewish agencies working in specialty areas, such as :
- addictions
- disabilities
- domestic violence
- food programs
- housing
- senior services
We are asking AJFCA member agencies to think about partner agencies in your communities that may fit this description. Many of these agencies do not belong to any national organization and may benefit greatly from joining AJFCA. Membership would open them up to:
- opportunities to connect with like agencies throughout North America
- learn of trends in service and;
- share information and resources to help them deliver services to their clients.
Ultimatel y, this expansion of our membership will enrich all AJFCA member agencies, translating into better services for all of our clients.
If you know of an agency that may be interested in AJFCA membership, please send an email with the agency name and contact information to Lee Sherman.
