Stanford Repertory Theater proudly presents Words and Images to End All Wars, commemorating the ongoing centenary of World War I, including texts from poets, writers, and common soldiers; images from painters and photographers, some famous, some unknown; and popular tunes from the "Great War."
A powerful staged-reading with saxophone accompaniment by Cody Stocker. The text includes a selection from Coward's play Post-Mortem.Writers include Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon, Robin Hyde, Noël Coward, Henri Barbusse, Stefan Zweig, Wyndham Lewis, Dalton Trumbo, Mary Borden, Smedley Butler, Sylvia Pankhurst, Spiros Myrivilis, and many others. Friday & Saturday 8:00 pm Sunday 2:00 pm 85 minutes. Free admission. Limited seating.
Doors open 30 minutes before the performance. Sunday matinee will be followed by a post-show discussion.
