As he was a great fan of his movies, he rushed over to him and asks for his autograph.

       Instead, Spielberg gives him a slap and says, "You Chinese people bombed our Pearl Harbor, get out of here."

       The astonished Chinese man replied, "It was not the Chinese who bombed your Pearl Harbor, it was the Japanese."

       "Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, you're all the same," replied Spielberg.

       In return, the Chinese man gives Spielberg a slap and says, "You sank the Titanic, my forefathers were on that ship."

       Shocked, Spielberg replies, It was the iceberg that sank the ship, not me."

       The Chinese replies, "Iceberg, Spielberg, Carlsberg, you're all the same"

       Well, we aren't all the same, are we? And who would want to be? It is the diversity of our population that is so special and it is what has made our country great.  But, yes here it comes, BUT, when it comes to American citizenship --- diversity does not belong.  When one is  an American, one must be an American!              

       Understand the Constitution, follow the laws, speak English, grasp the culture. In other words, assimilate. My mother came from Holland but the only time she spoke Dutch was when she was with her sisters and did not want us to hear. I remember her telling us a story about how she was sent to the cleaners to pick up her father's trousers and ran back home in tears because she could not think of what they were called in English and asked for his pantaloons. The cleaner laughed at her and she was mortified! It did not happen again. Our language, unique system of government and lifestyle sets us apart. Newcomers should not change it, they should embrace the American way and contribute.
