Terex, Konecranes Announce Merger

Terex Corp. and Konecranes Plc announced that their board of directors have unanimously approved a definitive business combination that results in a merger of all stock. The combined company, Konecranes Terex Plc, will be incorporated in Finland. Terex shareholders will own approximately 60% of the combined company, and Konecranes shareholders will own approximately 40%. Konecranes and Terex will combine to create a single company with estimated pro forma 2014 revenues and EBITDA of $10.0 billion and $845 million, respectively.

Final Crane Operator Regional Qualifying Event 

to Take Place in Louisville

Crane Institute of America will host the Midwest Regional Qualifier, the last and final regional event for the 2014-2015 Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition, prior to the Crane Operator & Rigger Championship.

The Midwest Regional skills competition takes place on Sept. 28 in Louisville, Ky. The best two operators will advance to the Championship the next day at the ICUEE Demo Expo. Finalists from around the country will compete for the $10,000 Grand Prize.
