Linde Adds Elevating Operator's Cab
to Heavy Forklifts
linde forklift

Linde Material Handling has added an optional elevating cabin for its heavy forklifts ranging from 10 to 18 tonnes. By pushing a button, the f a button, this cabin can be raised steplessly to a maximum height of 5.5 meters in less than 10 seconds. In the elevated position, the driver has an unobstructed view of the load and can drive forwards as usual. The elevating cabin is beneficial when it comes to the stacking items, storing and retrieving heavy goods, or placing loads into small loading docks, such as aircraft side loading doors.

CRC Canada Workshop: Overhead Crane
& Rigging Accident Investigation
joe kuzar
Joe Kuzar

The 2015 Crane & Rigging Conference Canada is more than just lectures. The Nov. 9-10 conference in Edmonton, Alberta, includes panel discussions and interactive workshops so attendees can be engaged with crane and rigging regulators, safety experts, and consultants.

One such workshop is a hands-on accident investigation workshop led by Joe Kuzar, Industrial Training International's assistant technical director. Using sketches, witness accounts, sheriff's reports, and inspection documents, participants will analyze the root cause of a major overhead crane and rigging accident, as well as the poor and contradictory operating practices that conflict with the organization's policies and the local jurisdiction's laws.

CRC Canada staff caught up with Joe to learn more about his area of expertise.
