I never really understood the concept of a "paradigm shift;" in fact, I couldn't even pronounce the word correctly and to this day I still can't spell it. However, several years ago, one of our clients brought forth a new paradigm in education - a concept around which we designed a very successful multi-million dollar school expansion program. LAN Joins Streetlight Mission to Develop New Site

Streetlight Mission is a Christian ministry that provides services and support to homeless and needy people in and around Elizabeth, NJ, including meals, a food pantry, career services, housing services, substance abuse assistance, etc. The leadership of Streetlight Mission saw the need for a larger facility to allow them to expand and improve its ministries. Streetlight negotiated the purchase of a building from the Archdiocese of Newark that used to be a convent, but had been vacant for some time. LAN Designs New Senior Activity Center
The Housing Authority of the Borough of Cliffside Park recently completed a 9,688 s.f./$2.4 million Senior Activity Center and Administrative Offices at the Gerald A. Calabrese Complex. LAN was retained by the Housing Authority as the Architect and Engineer of Record for this project. The new Senior Activity Center was designed to accommodate 354 senior apartments. The two-story masonry and cast stone building allows natural daylight into the spaces all day long, with large sliding windows along the east and west sides and patio doors along the south side. LAN is proud to announce that Danielle Farrell, LEED AP has graduated from the Leadership Orange program. Since 1993, Leadership Orange has hand selected and trained local individuals with varying skills and backgrounds to address community challenges that stress our government, education and culture in Orange County, New York.
