Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

From all of us here at Valley United Way, we wish you a very Merry Holiday Season and a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Yes Valley, There is a Santa Claus!

This December, Valley United Way's Volunteer Center and its Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) have been hard at work as Santa's little helpers!  Over 75 families are going to have a great Christmas that they may not have had without the hard work and generosity of our CVC.  The families selected were given to us from the Parent Child Resource Center, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, TEAM Early Childhood, and the Valley YMCA.  Each family supported, receives the winter necessities, clothes, winter coats, boots, household items, and grocery gift cards!  But what would Christmas be without toys!  Based off of the child's wish lists, Christmas morning they will wake up to find dolls, train sets, board games, bikes and more!  Check out more pictures from Santa's Workshop (aka Valley United Way's Office) here!

The Spirit of Giving

GE

For the second time in three years, the employees at GE have won a special award from GE Corporate for an outstanding United Way Campaign! The award was recognized at a special breakfast held at GE headquarters in Fairfield, and as if they weren't generous enough with their campaign, GE gifted the $5,000 prize to Valley United Way!  We are very appreciative of the special gift and all the support received from GE. Read more about the award and the GE campaign here.

We've had many successful campaigns this year in addition to GE, and you can check them out here.
