Director's Note:
School for our outreach locations is back in session! We've spent the last month enrolling for our therapeutic classrooms. How is a therapeutic classroom different from a regular classroom, you might ask? A therapeutic classroom is needed for children with disruptive behaviors too severe for normal classrooms, and has to integrate both clinical and educational services. It includes very low student-teacher ratios with targeted therapy, family involvement, re-training, intense support, and referrals for special services required. Come take a peek into our classrooms and see for yourself!

Capital Campaign News!
We were thrilled to meet with our Capital Campaign Honorary Chair, former United States Secretary of Education, Dick Riley. Our Campaign Committee has been working hard on land surveys development, building design decisions, fundraising and organizing our entire capital campaign. We couldn't wait to share all of the good news with Mr. Riley.
Mr. Riley became involved with our capital campaign in 2008. He is a great supporter and truly believes in our mission at A Child's Haven. "When we strengthen our community's children, we grow stronger adults and a healthier social and economic base for all." Thank you Mr. Riley.
We are less than 10% away from our fundraising goal and changing the lives of more upstate children and their families. We can't reach our goal without your support!

Old Friends Visit ACH
We love when our old friends meet our new friends! Jadyn attended A Child's Haven in 2011. He is now a successful second grade student that is excited to learn and grow; so excited that he stopped by to share a story with our Orange Room friends. He also loves to bring gifts for the room. Jayden plans to read to our children again soon.
We prepared him to be successful in kindergarten and now into 2nd grade. He has a bright future because of A Child's Haven!

Blue Room Buddies
We love seeing the sweet, shy smiles of the Blue Room. The Blue Room friends are our young 2-3 year olds. These nine children love doing art. Their favorite arts and crafts project is painting together at their table with bright, bold colors. They also love having "American Idol" play time, where they can sing into their microphones, dance and engage with one another.
We had our first graduation ceremony and it was especially rewarding watching the children get their certificates with a big smile on their faces. The children and families were recognized for their hard work in completing the program here at A Child's Haven.
