BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Please read about our Chamber Member-

Coal Creek Meals on Wheels

Chamber member since July, 2012!

Coal Creek Meals on Wheels

Our mission is to provide daily nutritious meals and related support services to members of our community in need, helping them to live with dignity in their own homes.

Since 1972 we have served over 4,000 individuals in Louisville, Lafayette, Erie and Superior. We will serve anyone in need, no matter what their age. We are the only non-profit providing a meal delivery service to our community.

The kitchen staff can customize each meal for the special dietary needs of our clients. They also strive to create menus with great variety and flavor. A typical meal consists of an entre, salad, various fruits and vegetables, bread and freshly-baked desserts.

A small fee is asked to cover some of the costs of the meals. It is based on an individual's income and we can work with everyone to find an amount that will work for them.

We work with over 130 outstanding volunteers who help us to meet our mission. They do daily wellness checks on our clients, and if they have any concerns will call in to let us know. We can then take the appropriate action and we can make referrals for food stamps, housing, and transportation to medical appointments. The social interaction is valued by many of our clients, as it may be the only conversation they will have that day.

A client recently told us "

A client recently told us "The service is tremendously important because it helps me maintain my independence and adds to my quality of life. I would be at a complete loss without Meals on Wheels." We get calls like this on a regular basis from grateful clients.

Business hours are from 7am-1:00pm.  Contact us on 303-665-0566, or director@coalcreekmow.org and check out our website Coalcreekmow.org.
