Greetings!
I hope you are doing well and had a chance to enjoy the summer. Its been a busy one at PP&D. Even after 32 years we've found a lot of new excitement.
It was our first summer with exclusive brochure displays at Burlington's Waterfront Information Center, Burlington Boathouse, and Hilton Hotel. WOW!! They go through a ton of brochures!! We also added new racks to the Quechee and Jeffersonville Information Centers.
This is our first experience replacing all our displays in a region. Over forty brochure displays in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom will be upgraded soon. A big improvement from the old ones purchased with NEK Brochure in 2012. I just wish we could fit more than five in a van. It's been a slow process.
We also purchased a brand new shiny blue van. Number five in our fleet, and the only one with less then 100,000 miles.
Soon we will be watching the leaves fall, snowflakes come from the sky, and tourists crossing our borders picking up lots of brochure to help make their vacation decisions.

HOW IMPORTANT IS BROCHURE DESIGN?

It is the difference between your brochures flying off the racks to the hands of potential customers or getting dusty and never picked up.
One very important hint - the top three inches has to sell your business, and there is no such thing as subtlety in brochure design.

PP&D has 78
brochure displays in the Northeast Kingdom. There are so many we've separated them into two routes; The Jay, Newport area and Saint Johnsbury, Burke. With lots and lots of little towns in between.
We have seven displays at Jay Peak Resort and just added a new one to Burke Mountain. More great locations include: Cabot Creamery, Fairbanks Museum, Derby Price Chopper and Shaw's, Northeast Kingdom General Store in Burke, Willoughvale Inn, Freighthouse Restaurant, Comfort Inn, and many more.

Congratulations and Much Appreciation to Frank Davison and Denise Bergman
|
In the spring of 1993 I hired Denise and Frank. Who would have guessed they'd still be working for PP&D twenty years later (or that PP&D would still be around....)
We've moved our warehouse several times, have had a dozen different vans, added hundreds of locations and seen forty other employees come and go, but Frank and Denise are still here!
You'll find Frank  doing mostly long distance runs, including the Northeast Kingdom, where he may sneak away to his camp on Holland Pond to do some fishing.
Denise has seen a lot of changes as she drives the streets of Burlington, always looking for new poster and brochure stops. She also finds time to make and sell crafts at local fairs.
I'd also like to mention we missed our bookkeeper Loraine Healey's anniversary. She's been with PP&D for over twenty-one years!
