Educator Effectiveness
This year educators in the DeForest Area School District are preparing for implementation of "Educator Effectiveness," Wisconsin's comprehensive evaluation system for teachers and principals. The system was designed collaboratively with Wisconsin educators and education leaders. It is made up of multiple measures of evaluation and balances an educator's practice with evidence of student achievement. Educator Effectiveness (EE) is designed to support the continuous improvement of educator practice that leads to improved student learning.
More detailed information about the EE System can be found at the Department of
Public Instruction EE website. This brief video also provides an overview of the system.
