Office of Alumni Engagement
Happy Spring to all of you. Although it certainly has taken a while to feel like spring on campus, we are hoping that the remnants of snow will be gone by Easter Sunday!
Regardless of the temperature, spring is a time of renewal, growth and excitement, and we can certainly see and feel that energy on campus. We sent our Model United Nations team off to New York City for another successful competition at nationals this week as the spring sports teams also get into the heart of their seasons, hosted an incredibly inspiring and successful Relay for Life event on campus and have a new crop of graduates working to cram every last bit of experience possible into their time at Alma College.
We hope that you are able to enjoy the returning energy and warmth of the season as well.

Congratulations to our
Alma College Model UN Team,
who took two outstanding delegation awards again at the national competition in New York City this week! (This gives this program its 17th straight year of top honors
at the national competition!)
Kudos also to our Alumni & Friends
Relay for Life Team,
which raised $1930
for the Alma College Relay for Life event held at the Stone Recreation Center on March 23-24. This total helped the student organizers blow by the overall event goal of $26,000 to a grand total of over $31,000!
Special thanks to alumnae Emily Shaw Haite '93
who was the 2nd highest fundraiser of the whole event!

Financial aid packages are now available for most of our families, and like last month, we've been making many calls to ensure families understand the various scholarships, grants and loan options. It's too early to tell whether the reaction to our financial aid packages will be as favorable as in previous years, but we're confident in the investment we're offering to make in our future Scots.
Numbers continue to be strong, our application and accept numbers are way ahead of previous years, keeping us hopeful that the committed student numbers will follow.
Wondering how you can help? Outreach to juniors is in full swing - so if you know of any great juniors (or even sophomores) that would be a great Alma fit, sent them our way!

It's graduation time:
can you help our seniors find jobs and/or settle into graduate programs?
Please remember how important networking is in today's professional world, and if you can,
HIRE A SCOT!
(Also let the career staff know if you know of great internship opportunities for our underclass students!)
