Blue-winged Warbler by E.J. Peiker Even though I teach photo-workshops, I like to attend at least one workshop as a participant with photographers I admire and respect. This year I chose Alan Murphy’s and Brian Small’s Upper Gulf Coast Warbler migration workshop. This was taken on a day that has been described as the best day for warblers in the new millennium so far due to a strong north wind which caused millions of birds to seek refuge and refuel after crossing the gulf of Mexico. We photographed 18 species of warbler on this day including this Blue-winged Warbler. Equipment Used: Nikon D800, 500mm f/4G VR, ISO 400, 1/640 f/7.1. Location: Upper Gulf Coast, Texas |
