CATV and Nonprofits

CATV has a long history of helping nonprofits promote their missions. We are a community resource whose video production services are available to the public for free.  We broadcast on local Comcast channels 8 and 10, but also upload productions online enabling individuals and organizations to post video content to webpages.

Below we have outlined a number of production types that CATV can help you create to increase public engagement for the work you do.

Email or call if you're interested in using our services.  We would love to help you share your story visually.

Sincerely,
CATV

Organization Profile Videos and PSAs
Produced by CATV staff, this Spark Community Center video highlights the work of the center and includes small, intimate portraits of the staff, volunteers, and participants.  It holds our attention and makes us feel emotionally engaged.  Click on the blue button below to see the video.
PSAs are a shorter format, typically ranging from 30-60 seconds.  These productions help us promote very specific information.  They are an efficient tool to communicate a focused message.

Special Meeting or Event Coverage
On January 26, 2016, CATV filmed an Affordable Housing Forum in Norwich, Vermont. While a longer format, it was an invaluable information session about the housing situation in the Upper Valley, providing depth and clarity to a topic that impacts us all.  Furthermore, we can pair faces with the organizations whose mission it is to promote affordable and safe housing in our community.
Schedules don't always permit us to attend these events, it's wonderful that we can have the opportunity to still see them or even revisit them.  If you are interested in having CATV cover your event, you can make a request here.

Promotional Video
Sometimes it's the little stories that amplify and bring energy to our message.  Last year we trained Matt Sherman, the 2014-2015 COVER Home Repair AmeriCorps member, who brought a CATV camera to a work site and filmed the making of a wheelchair ramp for a community member in need.  Matt created this great little video that spotlights an example of the important work COVER does.
We're happy we can equip folks with the skills and tools to make these productions for free.

Talk Show
Our studio is prepped for multi-camera shoots.  We have filmed a number of talk show type productions there, which are easy to coordinate and set-up.  This is a great format to go more in depth about your organization's mission and services.  In the ACTS Honduras video linked below, we get a thorough overview of this nonprofit that is peppered with poignant stories.

We'd love your input!  Please take the short, 3 question survey linked below.
