STRIFE

My child I love with all my heart

The pain I've caused you by keeping us apart

You deserved much more than I gave you then

You needed a Mother - you needed a Friend

I was a pitiful sight when you needed me most

My life was off track - I was a Living Ghost

If I can pull myself out of this dilemma I put myself in

I promise to never hurt you or desert you again

But to be the Mother you deserve me to be

Not that half-track nitwit that people want to see

This I promise my son - This you can bet

When the Lord is through with me - There will be no regrets

Please forgive me my son - Please stay strong

I put myself on this road - I know it was wrong

Have patience my son - Through these trials I must go through

Stay strong for me - Keep the faith till your Mother returns to you

There's a God up above and he has plans for us you see

He's making my road harder - So I can be better for you and me

God I know you're near me - You hear me when I pray

I put my all in your hands - that is where it all shall stay

Changes Of The Mind, Thoughts With Sober Conclusions

As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.

- PROVERBS 25:20

Pouring vinegar on an alkali (e.g., baking soda) produces a reaction like boiling or turning tranquility into agitation. So is the effect of singing joyful songs without sympathy to the sorrowful. Cf. Ps. 137:3, 4.

Keith Weston told of a fellow minister who was making his first hospital visit. "He found a poor patient with both legs strung up to pulleys, both arms in plaster, and an intravenous in one of them. And he said with his big evangelical smile and taking out his big evangelical Bible, 'Brother, are you rejoicing?'" Weston said, "The minister never told me what the patient said, but it wasn't very polite."
