Have you ever wondered

Or just given it a thought

That when things go wrong in your life

At times it's your own fault

There have been days

Where everything seems to go wrong

Then you hear some say:

Jesus is waiting for you to call on Him

He's been there all along

What they fail to see

Is that I did call on the Lord

I mean I truly called on Him

I called on Him long and hard

But it was just in words

That came straight from my mouth

I didn't realize that it had to come from the heart

Or it was just noise that I spewed out

The devil had taken the wheel

Made things look mighty nice

When I should have been praying - I was whispering

For it was I Satan had enticed

It all looked so alluring in one eye

In the other - I knew it wasn't right

I was trying to fight against Satan

But I wasn't doing it with all my might

It came time to take stock of my life

For you truly can't serve two masters

It was time to repent and rebuke Satan

For he'd turned my life into a disaster

Now you know we all have been taught this

But now it's time to come to terms

The Lord is forgiving and just

But as for His commandments - That is where He stands firm

You know His law

You know His rules

With no discipline

The devil will use you as his tool

But when you have faith

The Lord will bring you through

When you're unsure - Just stand

He will be there for you

For faith can move mountains

God will show you the way

When Jesus said just have faith

In His commandments - Obey!
