Market Updates: Feeling Springy!

It's starting to feel a lot like spring out there, or at least spring-like. We have Starvation Alley back this week with their beautiful juices and frozen berries. You can check out a great slide show all about them in Portland Monthly's last issue here.
And you may remember cooking teacher Joanna Sooper from last September's kids' cooking demo at the market. Joanna will be back this summer at the market with a whole series of cooking demos aimed at our young marketgoers! More details on these events to follow; watch this space. Joanna is the owner of Turnip the Heat Cooking School and offers classes tailored for students of all ages. Young chefs will get a chance to hone knife skills, plan nutritious and delicious meals, use kitchen tools properly, prepare their own creations, take home recipes, and savor their concoctions.
Classes are held in the historic Pitman Building (near OMSI/close in SE) and can accommodate up to ten students. Adult classes are also scheduled. More classes are added regularly; visit for more info.
We're hoping for a beautiful day. Grab some early spring goodies like wild green onions and the first nettles are arriving. All great for pastas and salads! We'll have some greens to keep us in the spring mood even after the rain returns.

HFM IS HIRING! We are currently hiring a seasonal Token Program Administrator
