Market Updates
Thanks to everyone who came to Kids' Day last week!  It was sure hot but we had a lot of fun. Check below for video and photos from the event!

Thanks also to those who signed up for Sprouting Stories.  Don't forget to complete your activity at the market this week!  If you missed out on Kids' Day, don't worry - we still have plenty of activity books left, and you can sign up for Sprouting Stories throughout the month of July! Just stop by the Information booth at the corner of 44th and Hancock St to get your book. And then come celebrate at the second Kids' Day on September 14th!

This week in the market, Feeley's Fruit returns with lots sweet cherries. Dancing Light Ranch also returns to the market this week, with their beautiful and aromatic lavender! You can also find on-call vendors Captured By Porches, Hot Mama Salsa, House Spirits, andMasala Pop at the market this week.  Gales Meadow Farm is out this week, but will be back the following week with lots of Sweet Lorraine favas and other unique produce options.

Mushroom Powders
Nature's Wild Harvest
Bill brings an unassuming, tasty array of mushrooms and local berries to the market. His mushroom powders are not to be missed either; morel, chanterelle, and lobster add variety to the usual porcini option. Just add a pinch to your tomato sauce, a white bean soup, or any dish you want to enhance with a hearty, yet subtle twist.

German Butterball Potatoes
Winter Green Farm
This certified organic farm is located in Noti, Oregon, just west of Eugene. The buttery texture and color of their German Butterball potatoes are perfect for a cooling summer salad.

"The Obliterator"
2 Fruits
This juice cart is a welcome oasis to the heat of market shopping. Quench your thirst with "The Obliterator," a fruit and herb infused H20 that rotates about every two weeks. Last week's flavor was lemon lavender honey.

Coffee Cake
Rock, Cane, Fat & Grain
Gluten-free cream coffee cake with five-spice and salted caramel? Yes! They've got it at Rock, Cane, Fat & Grain.

Blueberries
Liepold Farms
Blueberries wouldn't be a Portland favorite without a history and a purpose. The sweetness of Liepold Farms no-spray berries allows you to become a part of that history and a part of that purpose. We suggest oat muffins, in a pie with lemon zest, as garnish for a last minute chèvre plate, or chilled and blended with spirulina and almond milk for a light, natural sweetness. What inspires you?
