Wow, just one week away from the market and we are chomping at the bit to get back to it!
Thankfully we are back this Saturday from 9am - 1pm for the start our  winter market series. We have over 25 vendors ready to bring you the best winter products from the Pacific Northwest. This December you'll find meats, cheeses, seafood, hardy greens, root vegetables, fall fruits, specialty crafts, foraged mushrooms, unique snack foods and of course delicious breakfast options. Plus you can get your knives sharpened while you shop! (Check out the full list of vendors to the right.) Among the special seasonal products available in the market this December, you can get a garlic and pepper filled holiday wreath from Gales Meadow Farm. They are organic, handmade and after the holidays you can use the garlic and cayenne peppers in your favorite recipe! In December, the Info Booth will be located on Hancock Street next to Nourishment. Come see us for all your token needs, to purchase some Hollywood Farmers Market merchandise or just to say hello!
We are also pleased to announce that our EBT match program will run throughout the winter. That means that if you use your EBT card at the market, we will match, dollar for dollar, the first $5 you spend, every market, all year long!
Also this December, the annual L'Arche tree sale will once again be the market's neighbor! Not only will these trees beautify the holiday season for you and yours,  they support an important and meaningful cause. All proceeds go directly to L'Arche Portland,a non-profit that provides lifelong homes to people with developmental disabilities. Plus they expect a special guest this Saturday (Ho, ho ho!), so be sure to stop by their sale in the Grocery Outlet parking lot!
And don't forget, we will be open the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month, December through April. For this month, you  can find us right on Hancock Street. Starting in January, we move up into the Grocery Outlet parking lot, but not near the store entrance like last season. This winter, we will set up in our usual market space, on the west side, parallel to 44th Avenue. This move allows us to expand the market to include more farms, foragers and coffee(!).
