Rank Your Building's Energy Efficiency
Energy benchmarking is a valuable tool to assess your building's energy performance and reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint. It uses 'bench marks' to measure performance, much as miles per gallon assesses a car's performance. It provides an "apple to apple" comparison of your building's energy performance to other buildings.

Free support is availale to help you benchmark. Contact us at gbc@southbaycities.org or (310) 371-7222 for assistance, and earn 500 points for Tenant or Prop ENR-001.  Read More
Participant Spotlight:
Squeegy, Mobile Car Wash
As California enters a fifth straight year of drought,  Squeegy has developed an eco-friendly and convenient mobile car washing service that customers can order through a simple app. Using a proprietary, 100% biodegradable solution, each wash saves over 38 gallons of water compared to a traditional car wash. Since commencing operations in mid 2015,  Squeegy has saved over 250,000 gallons of water (enough water to fill 20 backyard swimming pools). The Squeegy car wash produces zero storm drain runoff eliminating pollution to our local waters and sea life. The company also reduces carbon emissions by using battery powered equipment instead of gasoline powered generators.

Staff minimizes office energy usage by relying on natural light during business hours and each employee is issued a reusable plastic water bottle. Squeegy's mission is to change the way we wash our cars by saving time, water, and the environment.  What is your business doing to operate sustainably? Contact us at gbc@southbaycities.org to share your story in our newsletter and earn points for Tenant E&O-011 and Prop E&O-003.
