Golden State Water Reminds Customers to Use Water Responsibly
Golden State Water Company's local customers served by the Southwest District have been asked to reduce water use by 12%, compared to 2013, to comply with the State Water Resources Control Board's mandatory water reductions that took effect on June 1, 2015. 

After meeting the challenge during the summer months, local customers have not met their reduction mandate for the months of October and November and are in jeopardy of falling below their cumulative reduction mandate for the period since the state's new regulations were implemented on June 1.  Read More

Engage employees to take action and earn points!
LED Lights: Save Brighter
LEDs, or light emitting diodes, are the ideal first-step equipment change solution to help you save energy. Depending on your type of business and day-to-day operations, lighting usage can be 20% to 50% of your energy demand, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration. Audit your lighting to find what you could save with LEDs, and earn up to  300 points through Prop ENR-015 or Tenant ENR-007.

Southern California Gas has an interactive tool to help consumers find ways to save energy and money. Create an account or log in at  My Account, and click on the Ways to Save tab to access energy tools and analysis.

Just getting started with the Challenge? Here are a few easy ways to earn points and start climbing the leader board! 
  • Set Water Conservation Goals and Earn 50 points (Tenant & Prop H2O-000)
  • Connect with Social Media and Earn 100 points (Tenant E&O-003, Prop E&O-008)
  • Invite Colleagues to join the Challenge and earn up to 300 points (Tenant E&O-002 (250 points), Prop E&O-004 (300 points))
  • Encourage your employees to install free aerators at home or install aerators at the office to earn up to 500 points (Tenant H2O-004 (200 pts), Prop H20-003 (500 pts )
