Happy New Year!
The year 2012 was a year of accomplishments and growth for USES and its community, and I am personally looking forward to an even better 2013! The new year is less than a month old, but so many of our programs and services have built momentum for the months ahead.
Community classes have started and participants are back in our buildings, refreshed from their holiday breaks. Please stop by our buildings and help us celebrate the new year ahead.
Best, Kevin L. Hepner President & CEO |

Spotlight: J.J. Foley's Café, since 1909
 | | USES Staff with Manager, Emma McEwan (far left). |
Located in Boston's South End, J.J. Foley's Café has been family-owned and operated since 1909. At J.J. Foley's Café, they pride themselves on offering delicious food, great drinks, and the friendly service that has represented their long-standing family tradition.
When walking into J.J. Foley's, one not only feels they are in an authentic Irish pub, but they get a real sense of the history of post-modern Boston. While either visiting our comfortable seated dining room, great for large parties or intimate dinners, or joining us in our classic pre - prohibition bar where you can enjoy a great pint while watching your favorite sporting event or playing a friendly game of darts, there is something for everyone to enjoy at J.J Foley's Café!
A good friend to United South End Settlements and to many other businesses, J.J. Foley's Café has played host to a number of USES staff parties and events, and we are thrilled they can join us yet again at Brewers Helping Neighbors 2013.
Be sure to sample some of their food at BHN 2013! Buy your tickets now at www.uess.org/bhn and visit www.jjfoleyscafe.com.
