News from the Women's Business Center

OneKC for Women launches new online portal

The OneKC for Women alliance recently launched a new online website portal to better reach and meet the needs of women throughout the Kansas City metro area. The alliance is comprised of the Women's Employment Network, Women's Business Center and Women's Capital Connection. Throughout these organizations, women can find employment training, start and grow a business, or help fund a woman-led business. To help launch the new portal, the OneKC for Women alliance partnered with full-service agency  Howerton + White to create a more user-centric, vibrant online experience.

We invite you to visit our new online portal and share your feedback! You may access the site at www.onekcforwomen.com. And you can still visit the Women's Business Center site directly at www.kansaswbc.com.

Women's History Month Review

March was Women's History Month and the Women's Business Center was busy! We started our spring FastTrac New Venture class for women, hosted a partnership meeting with the Women Impacting Public Policy, provided multiple training classes and officially launched our partnership with the Women's President Organization. At the WBC, we celebrate women's past, present and future every day so don't fret if you missed something. Here are some articles worthy of a read:

April is Money Smart Month

For the sixth year a number of organizations in the Kansas City region have partnered together to support Money Smart Month. Money Smart of Greater Kansas City is a community outreach intiative designed to promote and encourage financial awareness through classes, workshops and more. The Women's Business Center and the OneKC for Women alliance support financial education for women business owners by offering training classes and access to capital for businesses of all sizes. We partner with Justine PETERSEN to implement the  Kansas City Regional Microloan Fund. We offer assistance with  credit building, a critical first step for any business owner to understand.
