Judy Mathews Announces Retirement
Open House to be held June 9th, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
After over ten years of service, Judy Mathews, Program Director will retire from the Women's Business Center (WBC) in June. Judy began her journey with the center just a few months after its inception in July, 2000.
"Judy has the institutional history of this organization and I am continually amazed at the depth of knowledge she has of the companies that have been clients of the WBC. She has been the stability of this organization throughout its tenure, as the Center has grown and flourished and she will be greatly missed"
says Sherry Turner, Executive Director.

Learn about federal grant funding opportunities and how to apply for them
The U.S. Government provides over $2 billion annually to hundreds of small, high-tech firms through the SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) and STTR (Small Business Tech Transfer and Research) programs. These programs are aimed at the development of early-stage, high-risk, high-payoff technologies in areas such as life sciences, information technology, manufacturing, defense, and homeland security. More than 1000 solicitations from various federal agencies are currently open.
Presented by Don Colbert. Dr Colbert has over 30 years of experience involving research, education, business and management in a variety of industries. He currently is affiliated with KTEC, KBA, and Heartland BioVentures focusing on enhancing all areas of federal funding to support technology-based economic development and innovation commercialization in Kansas.

Join the fun at 9:30 a.m. for unlimited use of the first-class driving range and registration. The event is scheduled for an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start with a four player "scramble" format.
