Changing The Face Of Beauty

The Crew Corner

What's the weirdest thing that's happened to you on Friday the 13th?

Adam Marzec, Motion Graphics Artist

I ate Mr. Sub.

Mike Petrik, Art Director

I went to my new job as a summer camp counselor.

Joe Grock, Motion Graphics Artist

Last Friday the 13th, I Ch Ch Ch Ch and Ah Ah Ah Ah-ed. It was a great day.

Chris Roman, Motion Graphics Artist

I returned with a new look, a new machete, and the same murderous attitude when I was awakened on a spaceship in the 25th century.

Kevin Wright, Producer

Last Friday the 13th I couldn't think of anything clever to say.

John Courchane, Editor
I got less than 12 hours of sleep, played cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city, and got involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. After that, everything else has been cream cheese.

Ed Boe, Director of Photography

A bunch of my teen friends and I realized that a murderer who was killed in a fire set by our parents long ago, has come back, and been attacking us as a misguided form of revenge. Good memories.

Avery Schleichkorn, Winter Intern

I saw demons in the SLM office with whom I formed a babymetal band and toured Japan until a big show at the Ise Shrine when a priest-- OOOOH sorry actually I just ate Mr. Sub.

Allison Miller, Production Coordinator
I was born. That was weird.

Michael Kromm, Director of Post Production

There was a full moon that night.

Greg Vass, Executive Producer

I watched reruns of Full House all day. It freaked me out.

SolidLine Kicks off Spring Speaker Broadcast Season with the NSLS

It's that time of year when the National Society of Leadership and Success's Spring speaker broadcasts start, and SolidLine is excited to be along for the ride! Broadcasted to over 400 participating universities across the US, the Speaker Broadcast series features leaders and celebrities who share personal accounts of their successes, failures, and everything in between. The speakers lined up for Spring 2015 are Nightline co-anchor, Dan Harris; Founder of Mrs. Fields Cookies, Debbi Fields; and Founder and Editor-In-Chief of The Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington. The SolidLine crew is pumped up for the next series of broadcasts.

"This week's Society Speaker Broadcast with Dan Harris marks our 22nd show we have produced over the last four years," states Society Broadcast Producer Michael Gewirtzman. "The partnership we have with SolidLine and their team is great. The show is live so there are many variables, but SolidLine executes every time across the country. The shows are a tremendous success for the Society largely in part due to the quality of the overall production."

Take a look at a clip from this week's broadcast with Dan Harris from Jersey City, NJ.

SolidLine Collaborates with CBRE for "Office of the Future" Promo

Recently, SolidLine had the pleasure of working with CBRE, the largest commercial real estate company in America, to help produce an office tour video that would make any old cubicle jealous. CBRE endorses an "open space" concept that encourages employees to work where they are comfortable -- whether that's on an ergonomic sofa with a laptop and gourmet coffee or in a private office with lots of natural light. It's no wonder their employees are so successful. SolidLine helped CBRE film b-roll of their brand new Chicago Loop office and conduct employee interviews that focused on the story of how the new location evolved from concept to completion. We had a blast working with CBRE and couldn't be happier with how the video turned out!

"As always, SolidLine exceeded expectations and delivered a unique visual product," states Brendon Nelson, CBRE's LA Video Production Manager.

SLM Crew Shoe Line-up

Fashion is a hot topic at SolidLine Media, and everyone here knows an outfit isn't complete without the perfect pair of shoes. But the growing trend around SolidLine is to enter the office and immediately disrobe one's snowy, salty footwear out of respect for the SLM floors (Figure 1). You can often find the crew buzzing around the office while wearing comfortable slippers or fuzzy socks; some of the staff here even daringly choose to go barefoot, or au naturel as Kevin Wright would say. Certain folks get creative, such as Greg Vass and Michael Kromm, who prefer to wear matching slippers (Figure 2). Ok that's really a stock photo, Michael and Greg don't have that much style...

Whether you prefer the sexy stiletto, convenient sneaker, or sturdy boot, just know you'll fit right in here at SolidLine. And when you come to visit, don't forget to bring your slippers!
