ASHRM Debuts SolidLine Production in Austin
SolidLine has been heavily involved in the production of videos surrounding patient safety in healthcare over the past several years. This year the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) came to SolidLine to create a big splash at their annual conference. Shot on location with a Steadicam in a Chicago Emergency Department, "Everyone is a Risk Manager" features four healthcare professionals talking about how they handled a crisis situation after a large storm, while still being able to provide safe and trusted healthcare in any situation. The production debuted on Sunday, October 27th in Austin, Texas to more than 2,000 healthcare risk managers.

SLM Crew Onsite for AOA's OMED in Las Vegas
Six SolidLine crew jetted to Las Vegas, Nevada earlier in October for the American Osteopathic Association's annual OMED medical conference. While onsite the crew shot and produced the Mentor of the Year production, which debuted at the OMED Opening Session. SolidLine also produced episodes of AOA Minute, a short recap production of the daily events and activities, as well as formal members interviews and a conference promo video. In addition, the SLM crew produced Honors, a black tie event for the American Osteopathic Foundation. During this show, six videos were presented honoring students and doctors for their achievements.

"We love to use SolidLine produced videos to not only honor the achievements of our members, but also to show people who aren't attending the conference what fun they're missing," exclaims Jean O'Brien, AOA Marketing Communications Manager. "The videos have become a very important part of the conference, both on location and to promote it before and after."

MEET THE CREW
2 Qs with SLM Producer Kevin Wright
Sum up 2013 in five words.
Travel, travel, home, home, travel.
What's your favorite Halloween tradition?
I have been teaming up with my lovely wife on costumes most of the 14 years we've been together, but this year we got a group of friends to all follow a theme and I'm excited to see everyone's costumes in one place.

ASK THE CREW
What's the best Halloween costume you've worn?
Mike Petrik, Art Director
Halloween 2006, I think. Nine of us went as Robin, I think.
John Courchane, Editor
When I was like 5, I went as the Penguin from Batman Returns. In retrospect I didn't really realize how awesome that was.
Adam Marzec, Motion Graphics Artist
I was a dead fraternity boy.... The blood was so realistic people on the street really thought I was injured.
Ed Boe, Director of Photography / Editor
Kevin Wright, Producer
Many great ones to choose, but I have to say my favorite was my Blossom costume. As in Mayim Bailik.
Natalie Mueller, Writer
Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn with a bunch of other Bat-characters. This was back before the Arkham Asylum games came out so I got major nerd cred from everyone who recognized the character.
Allison Miller, Production Coordinator
Troll with hot pink hair.
Matthew Bradley, Fall Intern
Three musketeers. I was dashing.
Michael Kromm, Director of Post Production
H1N1 (swine flu) vaccination team.
Greg Vass, Executive Producer
Definitely when my buddy and I were Lloyd and Harry from Dumb and Dumber...complete with orange and blue tuxedos, top hats, and canes.
