Way to go Beta Theta Pi!
Richard Hoang
Beta's Burgers, hosted by the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, raised money for its upcoming Heroes for Hope philanthropic event that benefits terminally ill children.
Fraternity members sold burgers to students Monday on the Central Library mall to cover travel expenses, the cost of toys and superhero costumes such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Wonder Woman.
Chapter Pillars of Excellence
During the semester, we'll be highlighting the Chapter Pillars of Excellence and those chapters that are utilizing them. Remember to Tweet your Pillars using #UTAPillars and mention @UTAFSL. You can also submit your Pillars at any time online at www.uta.edu/fsl.
  

Phi Delta Theta

Excellence in philanthropy/Service. The chapter values service through philanthropic (charitable aid or donations) and service (community service) efforts to campus and local communites & beyond.

Do you know someone in the Greek community that has contributed to your particular organization's promotion and advancement? Someone who is truly exemplary in terms of academic performance, social engagement, community involvement, etc.. Scholarships Available
 

The Fraternity and Sorority Life Office at UT Arlington will be awarding two $800 scholarships this spring to recognize two campus leaders,. The Kent Gardner Scholarship was established in 2008 in honor of past UT Arlington Vice President for Student Affairs, Kent Gardner. Preference will be given to students who have University-wide leadership experience and/or are members of the FSL community.

Deadline to apply is March 4, 2014.

Fiji is currently offering  "The White Star" scholarship opportunity ( Up to $1000) for any male who is not already involved in a social fraternity. Stop by the Fraternity and Sorority Office located in the Lower Level of the UC for an application. The Leadership Center currently has several scholarships available for Student Leaders.  The Roberto Gaitan and Barbara Peet Leadership Scholarship makes funds available to students who have demonstrated persistent leadership and scholarship through their academic career.  The Alpha Phi Omega Scholarship recognizes students who participate in volunteer and service activities.  To learn more or apply, visit The Leadership Center website.

Volunteer with Catholic Charities of Ft Worth Transportation Services. 

Do you have free hours during the week, and a valid drivers license then they need you!

Be a Mentor! 

Barbara Jones, Counselor at Fitzgerald Elementary, called regarding the need for mentors from UTA. This is a great way to volunteer and help mentor a child.  For more information call 682-867-5300 or email her at [email protected].
