It's the kind of question we secretly ask ourselves when making a choice to become involved in any new project.
Can I put this on my resume?
Will this turn into a referral/recommendation?
Am I gaining new experiences for my career?
Do I feel good about my choice?
What am I getting out of this?
Sometimes, too, it's the same question we ask when choosing to begin a volunteer opportunity. And it's ok. You
should think about the benefits to you - volunteering can offer a number of opportunities that will enhance your skills, bring you into a new community or even open a door to new employment.
