Reitano Design Group Hires Design Principal Chris Wair
 
Reitano Design Group (RDG), an Indianapolis foodservice design firm, has hired Chris Wair as a design principal.
 
In his new role, Wair will lead the design process for foodservice design projects and provide mentorship to the RDG design team.

FCSI The Americas is excited to announce that Dustin McKissen, CAE, CME, will join the association's team as Director of Marketing and Communications. Dustin is a consultant, writer, and association executive with more than a decade of marketing, communications, and public relations experience. In addition to his association experience, Dustin is also a blogger on LinkedIn, where his posts have reached more than 2,000,000 views.
 
"Having Dustin joining our staff gives us a full time marketing person to take FCSI TA to the next level" said Executive Director Wade Koehler.  "He specializes in content marketing which we believe is the best direction for FCSI. I'm excited to see the changes we will be implementing over the next year."

Dustin has served as a founder of his own marketing and public relations firm, and as a senior executive at multiple international trade associations. He has a bachelor's degree in public policy, masters degrees in business administration and public management, and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Marketing Executive (CME).

NAFEM SEEKS CONSULTANT VOLUNTEERS
NAFEM invites technically-minded consultant volunteers to contribute the consultant's perspective in NAFEM-led government relations activities on the industry's behalf. Contributing to these efforts means you will represent the Society's interests and keep other members informed of the latest legislative and regulatory issues, such as those issued by the DOE, EPA and others, impacting the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. 

Issues being addressed include: 
  • Environmental issues, e.g., U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); California Air Resources Board (CARB); South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD)
  • Energy efficiency issues, e.g., U.S. Department of Energy (DOE); ENERGY STAR.

Foodservice Pioneering Concept Winner
Foodservice design and consulting firm, FOODESIGN Associates, of Charlotte, NC, has been selected by an industry panel of judges as the winner of the 2016 Foodservice Pioneering Concept competition sponsored by HX: The Hotel Experience.
 
The winning concept, "ReFresh-Eatery and Market", provides a fresh, healthy made-to-order alternative to fast food options typically found in a food court or public space, and uses the latest technology through cooking, iPad and mobile-app ordering. The concept provides a retail component for take home, along with a made-to-order quick-service for customers who want to dine at the location. Full Release
CAMACHO ASSOCIATES HOLDS 16th ANNUAL 'WHO LOVES YA' GOLF TOURNAMENT
Camacho Associates held their 16th annual 'Who Loves Ya' golf tournament on June 13 at Northwoods Country Club in Lawrenceville, GA. Thirty teams, comprised of foodservice industry friends, came together to enjoy a day of golf with great Georgia weather while raising $2,500 for Living Water for Girls. This organization is a residential and therapeutic program for young American girls victimized by human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
