FCSI The Americas Announces Student Competition
FCSI-TA to hold its first student competition to offer students the chance to win a scholarship, network with industry professionals, and learn about career opportunities in foodservice.
SPRINGFIELD, IL, SEPTEMBER 22, 2015 - Foodservice Consultants Society International The Americas Division (FCSI-TA) is rolling out its first ever student competition, geared toward helping foodservice, hospitality, or culinary arts students across North and South America grow as individuals while offering them opportunities to earn scholarships and identify a clear career path.

Those wishing to enter the 2016 FCSI-TA Student Competition will develop an innovative project related to the hospitality industry, hotel business or foodservice industry for a chance to win a $5000 scholarship. Submissions are due January 8, 2016. Three finalists, all of which will be awarded scholarships, will receive an all-expense covered trip to Nashville, TN, April 14-16 at the FCSI-TA Conference. Not only will they present their projects, but will also attend the education sessions and evening networking events. "FCSI-TA is eager to work with students in North and South America to provide an experience that will allow them to learn about all of the career opportunities within this exciting industry.", said FCSI-TA Chair Bill Taunton, FCSI.

Project submissions should include an Executive Summary, Project Outline, Terms of Reference, Business Plan, Marketing Plan and Strategic Action Plan. Full details on the contest and submission requirements can be found on the Student Page of the FCSI website
