November 2014

Where has the year gone?

Richard Eisenbarth, FCSI, Trustee - FCSI The Americas
Dick Eisenbarth, FCSI

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by and that I am just completing my first year as your East Coast Trustee for the Americas. I feel honored to be on the Board and I want to assure you that your Board is committed to growing our Society and bringing former members back, as well as welcoming new members into the Society. We are also encouraging younger consultants to join and participate in building our Society. At every Board meeting we hear of former members wanting to rejoin and many of our former members are also encouraging their associates to join. This has been exciting to witness and to be a part of FCSI's growth.

Just as our businesses have changed for the better, so has our Society. We are offering more and better educational opportunities with improved content by both our Allied members and our conference and symposium planning committees. We are, as a Society, better communicating with our peers to collaborate with each other on common problems we are facing. I am even seeing consulting practices jointly teaming on proposals and projects! The FCSI app that rolled out earlier this fall has proven to be rich in content and is further evidence of better communications. The app is being constantly updated and improved based upon your feedback. I hope you agree. We, as your Board, are always looking for ways to improve and look forward, and we are open to any and all suggestions, new ideas and initiatives to consider.

I hope to see a lot of you at the FCSI Symposium on February 17-18, 2015, taking place just before The NAFEM Show. The Symposium will be both educational and fun, and a good kick off to NAFEM. I hope all of you have a great Holiday season and I look forward to seeing you all in Anaheim in February.
